The Dive, KXBW 9.59 is an independent LPFM radio station located in Fargo, North Dakota, playing alternative rock.
Programming
The station was originally programmed as a "Christian Alternative" station from around 2009 to 2010.[1] and run by Martin Wishnatsky as Lighthouse Christian Radio[2]. The station was organized by pro-life unwed-mother's home The Perry Center.
On February 1st, 2010 the station relaunched by Ben Larson as a contemporary alternative station, with an interest in contributing to the community.[3] Although the station bills itself as secular, the station doesn't explicitly stay away from Christian music, and does avoid songs that are sexually explicit, promote drug use, or extreme language.[2] The station is still operated under the umbrella of the Perry Center and Women's Care Clinic Inc.[4]
Dive 95 2.0
Radio spots on the Dive in early 2011 hint that, on 1 March 2011, The Dive 2.0 will be launched. The actual result is left a mystery.
