The original plan was to go on a bike ride; the ultra-hot weather put a kabosh on that plan, so we decided to do a camera walkabout. Low-price cameras were the weapon of the morning -- I had two Aiptek digital cameras, a version 1 pencam and a version 3 pencam, Hunter brought his co-branded Disney digital camera, and the wifey used her cameraphone.

The first stop was the grocery store to load our cameras -- 5 AAA batteries were needed, and we had none in the house. After which, we went up a block, found an interesting alley, and headed north.

The heat still slowed us down so we didn't roam far from our neighborhood, but we did get some good pictures, and it was nice to get out of the house despite the heat.
