Grandpa Vernon
From The Infomercantile
Jump to navigationJump to searchGrandpa Vernon, my father's father, was a farmer in Western Central Minnesota until the late 1970s, at which time he retired and moved in to Moorhead, Minnesota. He's always got stories, so maybe I'll start documenting them here.
Stories
- In the 1970s, the family harvested eggs and sold them to the large local dairy. Alas, he eventually ran afoul of the local Teamster's Union, because he was transporting goods to the unionized dairy without being a member. The union leader at the dairy was very reluctant and apologetic; Vernon's eggs were worth it, but rules were rules.
